📍 Palma de Mallorca ✨

I stayed at The Boc Hostels – City during my solo trip to Mallorca. Here’s what stood out, what I’d happily come back for, and whether I’d still recommend it today.

✨My stay

I stayed in a 10-bed female-only dorm, and overall I had a great experience.

Each bed had its own curtain, so privacy was much than average hostels (although I always try to stay in hostels that offer extra privacy with curtains etc). The room also had its own bathroom and shower, while additional shared bathrooms were available on the floor.

One downside was the air conditioning. The room was extremely cold at night, and although I mentioned it to reception, it wasn’t resolved during my stay. I ended up sleeping with an extra blanket, which made it more comfortable but still I was very cold.

✨Facilities

One of the main reasons I booked this hostel was the gym, and it definitely met my expectations. It had everything I needed for a quick workout during my trip.

The shared kitchen was also well equipped and easy to use.

My floor had a lovely shared terrace where I met several other solo travelers, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the hostel.

The rooftop area was another highlight. Although I didn’t actually use the pool, I spent quite a bit of time relaxing on the sunbeds. There’s also a bar next to the pool, music playing throughout the day and a really nice holiday atmosphere.

✨Overall thoughts

The Boc Hostels – City isn’t the cheapest hostel in Palma, but I thought it offered excellent facilities and a great location.

Between the rooftop, the gym, the shared kitchen and the social spaces, it felt much more complete than many hostels I’ve stayed at. The only real downside was the overly cold air conditioning in the room.

I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Mallorca.
